11-run inning helps Hydro-Eakly baseball beat Carnegie

HYDRO — Hydro-Eakly baseball beat Carnegie 19-3 with the help of 11 runs in the bottom of the second inning.

To help in the game, Trenton Coe hit two home runs.

Carnegie scored a run in the top of the first inning.

Hydro-Eakly scored eight runs in the bottom of the first inning. Coe hit a home run to begin the game over the left field fence. Paxton Price recorded an RBI single, as he hit a ground ball to the shortstop and Carson Propps scored. Kolsen Tharp recorded an RBI single when he hit the ball to right field and Nolan Gore scored.

Xavier Sambrano recorded three RBIs when he hit a double. On this play, Caleb Warner, Kolsen Tharp and Calynn Henderson each scored. Coe hit his second home run of the day over the left field fence.

Carnegie scored two runs in the top of the second inning. The Bobcats scored 11 runs. The first four batters drew walks and Price scored as the bases were loaded. Gore then scored on a passed ball.

Carter Tharp recorded two RBIs when he hit a double into center field and Warner and Henderson each scored. Kaden Harris hit a sacrifice ground ball out to. Carter Tharp scored on the play. Coe recorded an RBI single, as he hit the ball into left field and Sambrano scored.

Price hit a sacrifice ground ball and Coe scored. Warner recorded an RBI single as he hit the ball to shortstop and Propps scored.

Henderson recorded two RBIs when he hit a double into right field and Gore and Warner both scored. Carter Tharp recorded an RBI single, as he hit the ball into left field and Henderson scored.

Hydro-Eakly got the three outs in the top of the third inning and won the game 19-3. The Bobcats improve to 8-1 and are playing in the Hobart tournament this weekend.
