HINTON — Hydro-Eakly wasn’t able to get the bats going in Monday’s game at Hinton.
Hinton grabbed the lead early and never let it go in the 10-1 victory.
Hinton scored 4 runs in the bottom of the first on at bases-loaded walk, an RBI double, an error and an RBI single.
The Lady Comets added 4 runs in the bottom of the second on an RBI single, a bases-loaded walk, a sacrifice ground out and an error to make the score 8-0.
Hydro got on the board in the top of the third. Kira Berkey reached base on an error. She scored two batters later on a steal of home. It was 8-1 Hinton.
In the bottom of the fourth, Hinton added 2 runs on a batter hit by a pitch with the bases loaded and a basesloaded walk. Hinton was ahead 10-1.
Hydro scattered 4 hits in the game.
Lotti Parker, Casady Sublett and Kenzie Rodriquez each singled in the top of the second. Berkey singled in the top of the fifth. None of those runs came around to score.
