Women’s golf finishes fourth in Missouri

SPRINGFIELD, Missouri — In the final tournament of the regular season, SWOSU women’s golf got a second-place finish from Megan Brown and finished fourth as a team at the ATU Spring Preview. It’s their fifth Top-5 placing in nine events this year.

Hydro-Eakly baseball wins

BINGER — Hydro-Eakly won all three games by at least 11 runs in the Johnny Bench Tournament this past weekend, hosted by Binger-Oney High School — winning the tournament championship. The Bobcats defeated Mountain View-Gotebo, 15-1, Thursday, Thomas-Fay-Custer, 13-1, Friday and Lomega, 11-0, Saturday.

Fletcher tournament FLETCHER — Hydro-Eakly won six games in two days and won the Fletcher tournament in the process. The Lady Bobcats defeated Lawton MacArthur, 12-0, Fletcher, 15-0, and Ryan, 14-0, Thursday.

CLINTON — Weatherford’s girls soccer team took a big step Thursday toward a district title and two home playoff game opportunities, after defeating rival Clinton, 3-1. The win puts Weatherford at 5-0 and in first place in the district with two games to play.
