MCLOUD — Weatherford’s slow-pitch softball team went 1-2 in Wednesday’s district tournament in McLoud and was eliminated from postseason play. The Lady Eagles won the tournament opener against Little Axe, 9-5, before dropping two games to tournament host McLoud, 15-0 in the first game, and 15-6 in the second game.

MONTICELLO, Arkansas — Arkansas-Monticello swept SWOSU baseball in the weekend series in Monticello, Arkansas. Arkansas-Monticello swept a doubleheader Friday, winning games 8-7 and 3-2.

WICHITA, Kansas — SWOSU baseball defeated Newman 25-13 in a run-rule victory. SWOSU hit six home runs and scored 12 runs in the second inning.
