CHICKASHA — Weatherford’s baseball season came to an end this past week, after being eliminated at the Regional Tournament in Chickasha. Weatherford went 2-2 at the tournament, defeating Ardmore, 16-11, and losing to Chickasha, 7-2, Wednesday.

Weatherford hosted Fort Cobb-Broxton in an early week contest and lost on senior day, 6-3. Fort Cobb-Broxton’s pitching stopped a comeback attempt in the final inning to win the game.

CHEYENNE — Hydro-Eakly traveled to Cheyenne/Reydon Monday in a non-playoff game and Cheyenne/Reydon won the game, 19-14. Both teams scored runs in nearly every inning of the game.

TUSHKA — Hydro-Eakly’s slow-pitch softball season came to an end this past week after getting eliminated at the Regional Tournament in Tushka. Hydro-Eakly won the tournament opener against Boone-Apache, 4-3, Thursday, before losing to Tushka, 3-2, and Boone-Apache, 6-2.

RATTAN — Hydro-Eakly competed in the regional tournament at Rattan and was eliminated by the host. The Bobcats finished the tournament with a 2-2 record—defeating Union City 4-2 Wednesday, and losing to host Rattan, 7-0.

CALUMET — Hydro-Eakly baseball traveled to Calumet early last week and lost, 12-4. Trailing 4-1, Calumet scored eight runs to take the lead for good and later win the game.

ARKADELPHIA, Arkansas — SWOSU softball finished its series at Henderson State with a 1-2 record, eliminating the team from contention to play in the Great American Conference postseason tournament. SWOSU split games in a doubleheader Friday, winning the first game, 4-1, and losing the second game, 9-2.
